With the guitar and violin they began developing arrangements of Jazz standards in a swing style which suited these two acoustic instruments. Encouraged by the results they recruited double bass musician Mike Fleming who was the final piece in the new trio which was became known as The Dizzy Club.

Performing in wine bars and small acoustic venues they quicly developed a great following from a very enthusiastic Sheffield crowd who were thrilled by the vibrant infectous music the trio created. As they wanted to add another dimension to the music they soon recruited percussionist Colin Elliot and Drummer Andy Cook to make up a five piece band of considerable might.

Within six months the band was performing two to three gigs per week and were being offered slots at many local Jazz and Swing festivals.

Four albums later and over 10,000 gigs performed The Dizzy Club is still at the top of their game. and have had relatively few different line ups but the bands personnel has included Shez Sheridan, Jon Trier.
